Hi!  Anyone know where I can find an online split rate online calculator that I can use to apply to an audit?  Need to divide the year up, for 2 different rating periods, then apply to all class codes.  Any help would be appreciated!

Ah,,,I didn't see your reply til just now. I'm not exactly sure how to use this....I remember the nice round wheel I used to have.  Wish I had one of those! I can just break down and count how many days in each month etc etc....
Thanks alot for your help though.

It's just an Excel version of the wheel...enter the dates (delete the example dates I entered) and it gives you the decimal prorata to use for multiplying your payrolls to accomodate the splits.

For example:
If you have a 1/1/2011 to 1/1/2012 policy with a rate split at 2/23/2011, enter the effective date of the policy and the split date to obtain the prorata factors.

Effective      Expiration
Date            Date          Pro-rata   Days
01/01/2011   02/23/2011   0.15        53
02/23/2011   01/01/2012   0.85       312
Let me know if you have any more questions  Smiley
