0005, "Nurseries-propagation and cultivation of nursery stock"
0035 “Florists-Cultivating or Gardening

The easiest way to determine the proper code is if the product is for INDOOR decorative purposes the proper class is 0035 Florists.

Classification 0035 applies to the propagation and cultivation of indoor decorative flowering or leafy plants. Products contemplate by this classification include cut flowers, potted flower plants, ferns and similar leafy products that are sold for indoor decorative purposes.  Propagation and cultivating operations consist of planting seeds or bulbs in containers or cultivated land, watering and fertilizing the growing plants, transplanting salable plants in to pots, or harvesting blooms and flowers for Sale. Operations may be performed in greenhouses or outdoors.

Classification 0005 applies to firms engaged in the propagation and cultivation of nursery stock from seeds, cuttings, bulbs, etc. Typically, such operations are located on large areas of land, in some cases in the thousands of acres. Depending on the types of plants being grown, the nurseries plant either in open (outside)
areas or in greenhouses.

Nursery planting operations begin with the mixing of dirt, sand and various additives, such as compost, to create potting soil that is poured into planting containers, including beds, pots, flats and multi-pack containers. During growth, the plants are watered, fertilized, trimmed, pruned and transplanted into larger containers, as necessary. When mature, the plants are prepared for sale or for use as seed stock. Firms assignable to Classification 0005 are licensed by the Department of Food and Agriculture as "Producers."

The growing of plants for the purpose of obtaining cut flowers is assignable to Classification 0035, "Florists - cultivating or gardening."

If a licensed nursery, they will be listed here at the below website.
