1  Question Forums / Classification / Re: Adult Day Care on: June 28, 2014, 09:48:59 AM
Thank you very much for your reply! The issue was resolved a week ago...it was advised that I call WCIRB for verification of  8868 and 9101.  I did, and it was. :-)
Thanks again!
2  Question Forums / Classification / Adult Day Care on: June 09, 2014, 10:01:32 PM
Hello! I have a risk in CA I'm auditing that has been classified on the policy as 8868, Colleges or Schools - Private.  Problem is that it is, in actuality, an adult day care center for developmentally disabled adults.  Family members drop off the disabled relative for a day of socializing with others. This gives the families a much needed break from the 24/7 care they provide their loved ones.   Code 8868 does not seem to apply.  I've researched various codes for Adult care, but all of them entail "RESIDENTIAL" care.  The only day care code I have found specifies children. (9059)
Code 8804, Social Rehabilitation Facility for Adults sounded like a possibility, but again not really.
Any ideas??
Thanks in advance!

Didn't see THIS either - til just now either.  I ended up using their W-2s for 2010 even though the policy went April to April.  Wasn't much more I could do -  especially since the poor woman's husband died in February, and the total payroll was only between $3-4,000 anyway.  I couldn't see making life worse for her.
You've been VERY helpful!  Many Thanks!!

Ah,,,I didn't see your reply til just now. I'm not exactly sure how to use this....I remember the nice round wheel I used to have.  Wish I had one of those! I can just break down and count how many days in each month etc etc....
Thanks alot for your help though.

Hi all...
After a few years off the road, I am back in the audit field - this time in the capacity of telephone auditor, due to back trouble. Most of it is coming back to me, but a little rusty in some areas, one being FARMS/TREE NURSERIES..Question for you:  I have an audit on a very small tree farmer with only $5000 in payroll.  Never filed 941s or state quarterlies...now, something vaguely comes to mind about this, but I'm not sure...are farmers required to file quarterlies like other businesses?  If not, how do we verify their stated payroll?  Thanks in advance for your assistance on this!

Hi!  Anyone know where I can find an online split rate online calculator that I can use to apply to an audit?  Need to divide the year up, for 2 different rating periods, then apply to all class codes.  Any help would be appreciated!
